Dealing with immigration: Italy vs the ghost of 1965

How is it that Italy finds a way to deal with illegal immigrants and the empire can not? In Italy, the present government has the courage and backbone to take action on their illegal immigration problem. Among the major candidates competing for taking over the regime, their policies are confused and muddled. When the great depression had its grip on the nation in the 1930’s, the government took action and deported those who entered the country illegally. Now they say the problem is too big. Instead of enforcing the laws, the lawmakers want to reward the criminal immigrants with worker status, and provide pathways to citizenship. This is not leadership, it is appeasement. In some areas, such as Tulsa County, Oklahoma locals have had the intestinal fortitude to enforce the law and the results have been amazingly positive.

In a free South, the borders would be protected. Criminal immigrants from either Mexico, the United States or other nations would be prevented from entering. Does that mean the borders would be closed for legal immigration? No. Legal immigration would be welcomed. Even in the empire, when people follow the proceedures and enter the nation legally, there is no problem. What does become problematic is the system currently in place (the 1965 immigration bill foisted upon us by Kennedy. He claimed that the change would not put any Americans out of jobs.) did away with the quota system and now it is on a merit system which amounts to “first come, first serve”, with some receiving preferential treatment. Remember who it was that gave you this present system if you have lost a job, loved one or child to a criminal immigrant. Make sure to thank Ted Kennedy and his democratic cronies for the opportunity.
