Remembering 4 July

As 4 July approaches, it behooves us to remember the sacrifice of our brave men on the fields of Gettysburg and Vicksburg. They gave their lives in defense of TRUE freedom. The freedom of speech, the freedom of religion, the freedom to associate or not associate with whomever we chose. These men bled so that a government born of the people could exist. When the national government ceased existing to protect freedoms, they chose to form their own and defend it.

It was also on 4 July 1863 that the Confederate States won the battle fo Richmond. The Southron sons and daughters now remember the sacrifices those men made. My own relative forefather perished at the railroad cut fighting for freedom against the invaders of his Southern homeland.

These men died so that the dream of those who gathered in Philadelphia to throw off the yoke of English oppressors would continue. Men have a right to rise and throw off the yoke of their oppressors when government ceases its God given responsibilities. The Founding Fathers took a stand for free government where freemen can stand for what is right.

The present empire has shown its disdain for the Constitution by overturning the first, second, fourth and tenth amendments. They have turned their back on the ten commandments and have taken stands to protect death rather than life. CONgress has hamstrung pastors from mentioning the name of Jesus even in prayer. Does this sound like the nation that our Founding Fathers created on 4 July? Would they have given their holy blood for gay marriage, abortion, the removal of the ten commandments, the banning of weapons for families to protect themselves, the unprotected borders and free-flowing porn 24 hours a day?

My Fore Father, James Wilson would not have approved. I doubt that yours would have either.

Remember what the Founding Fathers did on 4 July. Remember what their sons and grandsons did to stand for those ideas on 4 July 1863. Let us return to our God and return the nation to its foundations.
