Fire in the Governor’s Mansion

The big news is that there was a fire in the Governor’s Mansion over the weekend. Initial reports indicate that extensive damage was done. Many of the furnishings were not in the mansion, since they are redoing it. It is a sad event, especially since officials suspect the origin was from arson.

At least, Former Governor Mark White said he devastated by the fire and “we must rebuild it”. I only wish the Governor in his efforts to rebuild the mansion would also preserve the Confederate plaques on the courthouse. He seems to care only about selected portions of history.
