Ear marks are the new word for pork barrel projects. Some CONgress critters don’t just bring home the bacon, they bring home whole hogs to their districts. You can see actual numbers regarding how many of your dollars they are spending on pet projects. My CONgress Critter, Nick Lampson has racked up 23 pork barrel projects at 40 million dollars. This is even more than CONgress critter Shiela Jackson-Lee who only managed to obtain less than 10 million. You can look at the data by CONgress Critter or by year of fleecing they are in session.
