Recently, two young girls died after receiving their HPV vaccines in England. Initial reports do not see any link between the deaths and the vaccine (Gardasil) . The concern for me is that this is the same vaccine that Viceroy Rick Perry forced on Texas. I also was stunned at the price the girls paid for the vaccine, which is about $900 per shot. At prices like that no wonder Viceroy Perry wanted a piece of the action. I have concerns whenever the government forces vaccines on the population.
There are many problems with forced vaccines. One is that the government takes the role of “expert”. They claim to know what is best. Politicians deal with politics and government. They are not health experts. They push paper and develop strategies to implement policies. They do not know what are good health decisions. When they do stick their nose in the health field, it is usually from a public health stand point where they are looking at the population as a whole, and not as individuals. Health is an individual matter. In terms of medications and vaccines, since humans react differently to various chemicals, the choice of whether or not you need to inject your body with various chemicals needs to be considered on a case by case basis. You know what is best for your body, based on how you react to those chemicals. But wait, someone thinks it is government’s job to provide healthcare for the children. With such thinking politicians now make decisions concerning healthcare and then have to finance the mess they create. If I told you what to do regarding your healthcare, I could get sued for practicing medicine, but if David Dewhurst tells you, it’s OK, since he is a politician.
Freedom is a major concern for the League. Choices need to be back in the hands of the people rather than the current highly centralized nanny state. We need cultural, economic, political and health freedom. We need to make the decisions concerning our health, rather than letting bureaucrats make those choices for us. There is no way that the people in Austin or Mordor on the Potomac can be experts in border protection, highway construction, government funding, tax policy, immigration policy, education policy, the efficiency of government agencies, policing, digital rights management and healthcare at the same time. They are not geniesus. They do not have the capacity to know what is best across all the listed fields, much less the actual reality of how many fields they consider. They are not the “experts” in each of those areas. To accept their expertise is folly. It is sad that the two youngsters in Britain and their parents did not recognize this folly. Let us hope that we learn something from the death of Hollie Anderson.
