Under fire in Texas: Where else did you expect?

The Texas based company CDNN Sport of Abilene, Texas is in the spotlight. It seems that Citi bank is refusing to honor credit card sales to the company. Citi merchant services is claiming that CDNN sells firearms over the internet which they oppose. Citi believes that firearms sales need to be face to face. Citi merchant services is taking on the role of implementing federal policies. Citi merchant claims:

“…..due to the sale of firearms in a non face-to-face environment. Keep in mind that a violation of the Gun Control Act occurs when a gun offered online is sold to an individual in another state; the act prohibits selling a handgun to a resident of another state. Shipping across state lines is also banned, yet guns for sale online reach people across the country. We at Citi Merchant Service are unable to monitor or track adherence to these Gun Control laws.”

The action taken by Citi raises many concerns. The first is the freedom to purchase firearms by credit. The freedom to purchase firearms, and by extension any ‘politically incorrect’ items over the internet is under fire. Anyone who sells products on the internet should be concerned with this action.

There is also a concern as to whether it is up to businesses to implement intrusive federal policies. It is not the business of Citi merchant services to police such transactions. Why don’t they police the charges at strip clubs that may involve the purchase of drugs? Why don’t they scrutinize those kind of transactions. I suppose they also underwrite charges made on gambling, even across state lines into areas where it is not allowed. Did they take stands on those issues? No, Citi merchant services said nothing on those behaviors.

There is also a concern on the Citi side which is can a business choose who they decide to do business with? By extension, can business owners refuse services or goods to those whose political views or practices run contrary to their own? This could be used to refuse services to those involved with abortions, RU-486 and other accursed practices.

There are potential freedoms at stake on all sides in this issue. One thing is clear, which is that federal policies are intrusive. Their very own policies are interfering with interstate commerce. Although they are interfering with commerce, what is the likelihood that the Supremes will hold the empire accountable to its own policies and violations of its own laws?

It is also of interest that most major losses of freedom that occur in the empire are attacks on the laws of Texas. History is filled with the many times the courts of the empire have tramples the rights of its subjects beginning in Texas. It was Texas law that was attacked in Rowe v. Wade, which legalized abortion, Texas laws were under attack in Sweatt v. Painter, which began set asides and affirmative action forced on the States, Texas law was attacked in Texas v. White, which removed States Rights, Texas law was attacked in Lawrence v. Texas,  which legalized homosexual behaviors,Texas law was attacked in Johnson v. Texas, which legalized burning the flag. What is it about Texas that attracts attacks from the empire like a lightning rod. Texas has served as the exemplary whipping boy for many of the oppressive decrees of the empire, where they force policies on us that the people would not have chosen themselves. The empire knows that, which is why the courts are used rather than the legislature to carry out their reconstruction policies.

This situation bears watching since many potential freedoms are at stake and precedents are likely to occur in this matter.

What is stimulated?

In the movie, Field of Dreams, the phrase, “If you build it, they will come” became popular. The phrase is catchy, it also contains a truism. That truism is that when you reward people, they will come around. In the latest conspiracy between the regime and CONgress, legislation has been forwarded that provides tax rebates to the subjects of the domain. There are many fishy things about the act, including how quickly it went through CONgress. The speed of its passage raises concerns about the seriousness of the financial situation in the empire. The democratic CONgress does not easily give the people’s money back to them. When they not only give it back, but do it with haste, you have to wonder if they know something that they are keeping from the public.

Besides the haste of their action, there are other concerns about their action. It seems that the legislation also provides refunds to illegal immigrants. The group known as ‘resident aliens’ are eligible for the refund. What is a ‘resident alien’? It is an illegal alien that has paid taxes and has not been deported back to the nation they came from. Rewarding them for their actions will only send the message that what they are doing is acceptable. Such action will only serve to increase illegal activity. People look at the cost and benefit. If the benefit outweighs the risk, then they will do what is being rewarded. Tom Tancredo has called it righ, when he labeled the stimulus package as a giveaway for illegal aliens.

“This package will stimulate one thing for certain: more illegal immigration,” said Tancredo. “It’s just the latest unfortunate example of American workers footing the bill for illegal aliens.”

Another old saying that has bearing in this situation is “Beware of Greeks bearing gifts”. The city of Troy saw this one too late. CONgress does not just give things without expecting something in return or having strings attached to it. Even in their gesture, there were many caveats to make sure that the rebates did not occur across the board, but rather only certain people in certain tax brackets will be receiving the tax breaks. The hope is that the subjects (I was going to say citizens, but I realize that the program extends beyond citizens to include non-citizens as well) will spend money and stimulate the economy. It may speed up the economy some, although the best thing the people could do is purchase precious metals and sit on them. If they used the rebate to purchase $600 dollars worth of pennies or nickels, they could melt them down and sell them for more than the $600 rebate they originally received. By printing more of the Yankee greenbacks, the value of them will decrease even more.

The action of CONgress tells me that they know that taxes are too high. They know that high taxes slow the economy down. A real solution would be eliminating some of the taxes. They could start by removing the ones that were implemented in violation of the Constitution. Rebates are not a real solution, it is only a band-aid.

It is labeled a stimulus package. The key question is what does it stimulate? The conspiracy of CONgress and the regime say it will stimulate the economy. The reality will likely be that it  stimulates illegal immigration. When I have unwanted rowdy neighbors in my yard, the last thing that is needed is to offer them ‘free beer’.

Letter to Ohio Republic

The League of the South was in the news in Ohio. In the article, Harold Thomas dealt with the issue of secession and independence in an admirable manner. We need to encourage other people who seek their independence in an honorable manner.

There were other comments from State Chairmen from the League along with some critics as well.

——————–Ohio Honored for Courage

Harold,

Thank you for writing about the League in an bold objective manner. It is rare that writers seek to understand rather than to judge the issues regarding controversial issues.

I am encouraged that people in Ohio are taking action. It takes courage and fortitude to stand and be counted.

This is not the first time that the Sons of Ohio stood on principle. During the war, some of the Sons of Ohio served in the Confederacy. This past summer, homage was paid to the Sons of Ohio and the other states whose sons served in Terry’s Texas Rangers at the 100th anniversary of the Terry’s Texas Ranger Statue on the capital ground s in Austin, Texas.

Lessons learned from the Southern Poverty Law Center

The SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center) has magazine called ‘Teaching Tolerance’. In the latest issue, there is a speech on the Michael Luther King legacy, a poster and a special teaching teaching package. I always learn things from the SPLC.

From this latest press release, I learned how to test my textbook. The SPLC encourages students to test their texts to see how they deal with 1954-1968 and make sure that the emphasis is on civil rights. Isn’t it more important to examine what the historical facts were? In the SPLC world, presenting civil rights and making sure that texts have a time line addressing them is of prime importance. In terms of civil rights, I always wondered what about the rights of private businesses who were strong armed during that time period? What about the Constitutional rights of free speech, association and states rights that were over ruled during that time period? I guess those kinds of civil rights are not important. Wouldn’t it be more important to look at the actual numbers of the kinds of jobs people obtained, their earnings, and the educational levels achieved for that time period. I believe looking at the actual numbers would provide more useful information.

According to the SPLC, students are supposed to identify what items distracted people from civil rights at that time. Gee, what other events occurred during that time? Hurricane Carla, the Space Race, the hunt for communists, the imperialistic war in Viet Nam, Kent State, the riots in Chicago at the Democratic National Convention, LBJ stealing elections, the Kennedy assassination, and the sniper at University of Texas. Each of these items would be considered distractions according to the SPLC. So in their world, marches in Alabama and civil rights cases are more important than gunmen on college campuses killing students. I guess the SPLC logic is civil rights are more important than life and death matters or protecting students. Protecting students and student safety is secondary to civil rights is what they are advocating.

But wait, there is more! The SPLC wants the borders opened up. Any group who stands up and wants the border protected is branded with the label, “hate group”.

The SPLC also addresses the use of simulations in the classroom as a way to teach history. Why don’t they just teach the facts?

So what did I learn from the SPLC?

1. Civil Rights history is the most important history there is. It is more important than studying political events, economic events, or even technological achievements. Civil rights are more important than your own life. Forget making campuses and homes safe, we must protect everyone from potential civil rights violations for the gunmen.

2. The borders need to be opened up. Americans are selfish to keep their borders all to themselves.

3. It is more important to consider peoples feelings and use simulations to teach than to present facts and learn how to think.

4. The legacy of Michael Luther King is worthy of emulation. Never mind that he was a philanderer and violated the rights of others through plagiarism, he is worthy of commendation. In looking at leaders we need to look at their goals and not their character. What they said is more important that how they lived if you look at MLK. (It is ironic how with Ghandi, the press values how he lived over what he said, since he often spoke out against set asides and government mandated preferences).

Free Texas from such insanity. We need students to think. We need students who can solve problems. Students attend school for an education, NOT indoctrination. (Given the amount of indoctrination that goes on is justification enough for home schooling). If you wonder why your kids are not learning anything that you would call education, just look at what is being promoted in the districts. If your school district has “Teaching Tolerance” you will now know what is going on. This is not about teaching tolerance, it is about indoctrinating them to surrender their culture, surrender their personal safety and to emulate people without critically examining who they were, what they stood for and how they lived. It is this kind of uncritical thinking that has allowed philanderers like Bill Clinton and John McCain into high office. It is this kind of thinking that has brought in old drunks and put them in charge of the regime.

Preserving political heritage

In a daily review of the mission statement of the League, part of our goal is to “preserve the political heritage of the Southron peoples”.  I pondered what does that mean? Students of political science learn early on that each political party works toward implementing their policies. They often do so by creating agencies and bureaucracies.  That being said, what are  “Southern ” policies? I listed some of the policies considered Southern.

1. The respect for law. This has been fundamental from the early days of the American republic. Although Confederates are often branded as “rebels”, the leaders of our nation actually wanted a respect for law. The Confederate government wanted a peaceful separation (e.g. an amenable divorce). The Northern States would not allow it, even though Massachusetts had threatened to secede several times before, and even introduced the legislation in its State House. The Confederate nation respected the law and falsely assumed that the Northern States would abide by its written laws set forth in the Constitution as well. The Confederacy learned, like many other nations that the United States does not play fair or gentlemanly in the area of diplomacy and the use of force to implement its policies.

2. High regard for family. Families were instituted by God. They are the cornerstone of a society and nation. That foundational structure is to be regarded, respected and protected.

3. High regard for Biblical values. It is not by mistake that the South is known as the “Bible belt”. The values contained in it are the basis for social relations in the South. The South also maintained a high respect for its Jewish communities. The common values of the Bible provided the structure for a civil society. This high regard means that public displays of scripture are condoned and approved. Society needs a solid moral base. The only Jewish military cemetery located outside of Israel is located in the Confederacy.

4. The preservation of basic rights to private property, the right to bear arms, freedom of speech and the other rights identified in the Bill of Rights. The majority of the Founding Fathers who insisted on these were of Southern extraction. These were included to counter the centralists who were not  in favor of them.

5. Respect for authority. Southern society has long respected ‘legitimate’ authorities. Whether they were elders in the church or a local judge, they were respected. What Southerners do not respect are authorities who abuse their power. When power was abused, there was often reactions to those abuses. It is no wonder that a majority of the famous ‘outlaws’ (James Brothers, Younger Brothers, and the Dalton’s came from the south). In some ways such reactions occurred when the authorities abused their power.

6. “A man’s home is his castle” . Southerners have always cherished private property rights. By extension, this included the desire for a secure border. Southerners want to be secure in their homes.

7. “It’s none of your business” The South cherishes limits on the power of government. They like their privacy. It is not by mistake that the statesmen of Texas limited the number of days the legislature was in session, in order to keep them out of mischief. This is also part of the reason why there are limits on the power of Governor in the State of Texas. With the desire for boundaries and limits on government, there are some issues that are considered none of the government’s business.

8. Women should be treated like ladies. In traditional Southern society, women are treated like ladies. Granted some men in the south have not behaved themselves as gentlemen and shown respectable behaviors. Even though some have not abode by this value, it still remains a value in the South.

9. Southerners have traditionally favored free trade and low tariffs. This would also include reducing government restrictions on those involved in international trade.

10.  Southerners seek to preserve the past. They respect history and historical things.

11. Rather than depend on the centralized government to make things happen in a community, Southrons placed an emphasis on self-reliance. They wanted to handle things on a local level rather than policies implemented from some capitol that was many miles away. They traditionally believed local government always does a better job than the central one.

12. Southrons valued education. In many communities throughout the South, colleges existed until many were lost in the war. Education would also be based on ability and the decision of the local college rather than some meddling national policy.

13. Southrons respected other nations and did not stick their nose where it did not belong. When the northern Mexican States offered to secede from Mexico and join the Confederacy, Jefferson Davis declined the offer, whereas the Yankee States often stirred up trouble and interfered in other nations business, like they did in France, Mexico, England and Japan during the war. A Southern nation would not be threatening Venezuela, Israel or Iran simply due to how it is none of their business.

14. Southron policies traditionally favored the entrepreneur and small business man. The development of small business was encouraged.

15. The use of a gold or gold/silver standard for monetary policy.

16. Southrons dislike income tax. The income tax is another one of those things that Americans can thank the tyrant Lincoln for. Every April 15, Americans might consider remembering who they have to thank for the idea of the income tax and its implementation.

These are just some of the policies that have traditionally been valued by Southron culture.

Letter to the Times Union

On reading a letter to the Albany, New York newspaper, I grew incensed at a letter to the editor that raised concerns about the Confederate flag. The writer made some outlandish comments that needed a response. (PS- I received a call today 30 January from the Albany Times Union. They will be printing my response in an upcoming issue-JM).

I have enclosed my letter to the editor that I responded with:

It grieves me that he sees the Confederate flag in such a negative light. Just last year, in Austin, Texas at the 100th Anniversary of the Terry’s Texas Ranger Monument, homage was paid to those northerners and Southerners, blacks, whites and Hispanics who fought together in that cavalry regiment. New York, Ohio, Vermont and Illinois were honored as having sent representatives serving with the Rangers. It may surprise Mr. McCarthy to learn that many Northerners saw the issues at stake regarding taxes, Constitutional law and limits on Presidential freedoms that were part of the conflict. Those issues were never resolved, although men were willing to take a stand for them under the Confederate flag. Historic revisionism has used the war to alienate groups of people, when the reality of the 1860’s was that those who served were often driven by principles that were important to them.

There was no treason involved. The Confederacy wanted the government to abide by the rules laid out by the Constitution. When the government refused to abide by Supreme Court rulings, the Constitution and Legislation passed by Congress, there were few options left. The South, because they believed in the rule of law, rather than the rule of a ‘higher law’ were pushed into leaving the Union. Historically, Massachusetts took steps of secession several times before the war occurred, so to call the South treasonous because they took action rather than just talk and threats is being ill-informed.

Sadly, politicians and rabble rouser’s have muddled the issues of the 1860’s to the point that the meaning of the flag has been spun into something totally different that the historic reality.

I guess the reality that many New Yorkers served in the Confederacy is too much for Mr. McCarthy to accept. Recall that the largest riot ever to occur in New York City took place in reaction to the war and the policies of the Lincoln regime. In time, it is my hope that people will be able to openly discuss the issues and facts surrounding what happened.

Trans-Texas Corridors: A true hydra story

We have a multi-headed monster in Texas with the Trans-Texas Corridors. The Department of Transportation (TxDOT) was not content with just I-35, they also want the I-69 corridor as well. I had long suspected and commented that the bayport project was part of the big TTC plan, and now it is validated. What does this mean to Texians? Plenty! It means that land snatching will occur through in the areas of central, ,plains, coastal and east Texas. With the current real estate bust, the powers can clean up and purchase the land at fire sale prices. Perhaps it is coincidence that eminent domain cases were heard in the Supreme Court (e.g. Kelo v New London) was heard in the Supreme Court in 2005. Another case went to court in Virginia, although the State lost that one. Another one is under consideration in New Jersey. Such cases undermine the legal protections in the Constitution. They also serve to begin paving the way for such monsters as the Trans-Texas Corridor. Like a hydra, it seems that every time some progress is made in slowing down one head, another one pops up. Greek heroes knew how to deal with such monsters-Kill them! When you don’t kill them, they terrorize the population (in our case, they will ask for more taxes and bonds. I have seen this with Bayport, which routinely asks for more bonds, federal dollars and taxes. It is not enough that locals have to pay taxes to the Port, but then they want their fill of the slop at the federal pig trough.) There are other projects like Bayport that continue growing in size, costs and abuse toward the citizens.

We need some heroes like those in the Greek myths that will rise up and kill such monsters, severing their heads and saving the people. The TTC/Bayport is a threat to the freedoms and property of Texans throughout the state. If it does not effect you now directly through eminent domain, it will effect you through tolls, property taxes, automobile license fees, and property devaluations. It does effect us all both now and generations to come.

Historic Revisionism

Political correctness is taking new turns. Now rather than erase the past, the PC police are making active efforts at recasting it. The forces of ‘historic revision’ are seeking changes in statues and monuments. This should come as no surprise since the regime in power has done their best to revise history by removing the Confederate plaques from the Court Building in Austin, Texas. We should not be surprised, because such actions occurred in New Testament times as many ‘learn-ed men’ attempted changing the words of the Bible. Throughout history, ‘learn-ed men’ (such as Origen) who thought they knew better have often made efforts to change history and remove the truths of the Bible and historic events, which shows that PC  and historic revisionism is nothing new. Many people do not like truth and will fight against it. Old Southern statesmen told us that truth would rise and not stay buried.

An article I came across the other day attempted to ‘revise’ Scottish history. The author, Micheal Greenwell is a virulent anti-Christian, so it is no surprise that he would tear things down like he did, claiming that the Scots are arabs. He did not study his history. It is true that Scots ancestry goes back to Japethites, but not Canaanites. For that matter, after Noah’s ark, all races came from that area. He also did not mention the Declaration of Arborath which traced the lineage back. He also did not take into account the genetic argument of dominant and recessive genes which would show the fallacy of what he has stated. The article, like most historic revisionism is a ‘hit piece’. In his he takes his stab at the League and the concept of kith and kin (homeland and homefolk).

The very fact that he attacks it tells me that it is threatening to some people. The concept has modern relevance as well. Take for instance, John McCain. He may be an American by birth to American parents on a military base in Panama, but not by homeland. Some may say such issues do not matter. A man without a homeland will not protect the homeland he lives in. McCain has shown through his legislation that he prefers amnesty. He is not about protecting homeland. He has not been loyal to homeland or family, given his history as an infidel. The only reason he can legally run for President is the Dred Scott ruling by Roger Taney, which was mentioned in the first article. McCain and his supporters owe much to Taney and aught to be making pilgrimages to his historic sites rather than placing emphasis on his associations with slavery. He should be thanking Southern statesman for making his opportunities possible, rather than attacking their heritage. But, like the regime in power, he spits in the face of those who made his freedom possible.

McCain, Dred Scott and the Constitution

The question of the hour is whether or not John McCain can Constitutionally be President? The Constitution is specific that Presidents must be natural born citizens.

No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

McCain was born in Panama. Can someone born in Panama be a US President? If we asked Washington, Adams, Jefferson, or any of the founders, the answer would be a resounding NO.

In an ironic twist, the Congress did extend ‘natural born citizenship’ to those born overseas if their parents were US citizens. This issue was not brought to court until the Supreme Court case of Dred Scott, which said they were citizens. How is it that the Yankee States deplore Dred Scott and refused abiding by it, UNTIL, there is a Presidential election, then all of the sudden, it is relevant for that part of the ruling? If Dred Scott was relevant then, and now, then someone owes a BIG apology to the Southern states. McCain ought to be singing the praise of the South, since that case that concerned Southern rights is also what gives him any argument to be President. This selectively picking and choosing which rulings to abide by and which to ignore is not a solid basis for government.

For the moment, let’s assume the North was right. If the Yankees were right, then McCain is wrong. Using the same logic, if Dred Scott was a bad ruling, and if he was a man of honor, he would decline the offer. He wants to bad mouth the Confederate flag, but he does not realize it was Southern rights that is giving him a right to run for office. I doubt that he will decline to run, he has already shown his true colors. His continued presence in the campaign shows a blatant disregard for the Constitution, which he is sworn to uphold and defend against all enemies foreign and domestic. He is flagrantly defying the Constitution on a technicality, in that he was born on an American air base. He was not born in the 50 states. If this is any indication of how he would govern, there is a lot of rough roads ahead. His own mother brags that he supported almost everything that the regime has sought.

Roberta McCain: Well, everything they’ve done and said. … Now I’m really popping off, but he worked like a dog to get Bush re-elected. …He’s backed Bush in everything except Rumsfeld. Have you heard other senators and congressmen backing Bush over eight years? Find me it–give me a name. I’ve not seen any public recognition of the work that he’s done for the Republican party.

I would be glad to recognize him for what he has done and the policies he supports. Because of the policies he supports, and stance on the Southron issues and our flag, I can not support him or endorse him. In addition, the man is an infidel. He is crass. Remember he is the one who shouted “F– You!” to Senator John Cornyn of Texas, when Cornyn disagreed with him on illegal immigration. We have already had a recent infidel in office with Clinton, and we do not need another with even more crass ways. He literally cusses like a sailor. This is not presidential material. The man with his open borders, infidelity, cursing, demand for more invasive government and fierce name calling is in need of a mental health exam. If you thought the present regime is “nuts”, this one is certifiable even before taking office. He has attacked the Christian right for being “agents of intolerance”, and in regards to Mohammedans, and al Quieda specifically, he wouldn’t even “trade burkahs with them“. If a man will not be faithful to his wife, or a religion, or conservative political values what makes you think he will be faithful to a nation (I would say his nation, but is he Panamanian or a citizen of the empire?).

PS. Since writing this post originally, there have been considerable interest in the Panama question. A new twist on it is that Panama was not a territory at the time of his birth, and that he is a naturalized citizen, not a natural born citizen.

Jena skulduggery

The empire is starting its judicial attack on Free Speech and Jena. Jeremiah Munsen has been indicted of violating federal hate crime laws for driving a pickup truck that had two nooses tied to the bumper. This latest assault is led by US Attorney Donald Washington, who is an appointee of the current regime (isn’t that a surprise). The indictment raises questions about what is free speech. I can understand how nooses can be seen as a threat if you put them around someone’s neck, but these were not around someone’s neck. They were hanging from a truck bumper. Does this mean if he had a gun rack in his truck with a shotgun in it, that he would be indicted as well? In order to be a threat, wouldn’t the gun or noose in this case be pointed at someone?

I have received criticism for raising questions about the noose on other sites, but I do not think people see the whole picture. The noose is a tool. The noose is still used for capital punishment in the nation of St. Kitts. How is this same tool a racist threat here, but it is an accepted tool in the caribean nation of  St. Kitts? The empire has good relations with the island nation and does not indict its leaders for using the noose. How is it that the same tool is now seen as a threat in Louisiana? There seems to be a double standard here. It is labeled racist in Louisiana, but it is not racist in St. Kitts. It is amazing how things change as the context changes.

There is bound to be more skulduggery in Jena as things unfold. At present, the only person actually assaulted was Justin Barker, who was beat unconscious. No one else has been assaulted. The US government manages to call a noose racist in Jenna, but not in St. Kitts. The local Louisiana boy is indicted for conspiracy and stirring up trouble, when the outsiders like Sheila Jackson-Lee and Maxine Watters who came in from out of the State and stirred up the people, including making threats of using judicial force are not seen as trouble makers. There are double-standards a plenty in this one. It seems that outsiders can literally bus people in from out of state, and march on the streets of a small town and that is acceptable. Let a local boy express his opposition to the influx of outsiders and he will be indicted.

We need to have true justice. We need a justice that makes sense. Threats and intimidation should not be tolerated, whether through the courts or through threatening objects. People who engage in criminal acts like beating people unconscious should be tried. The standard of justice needs to be applied evenly, without bias or color. If nooses are racists, they need to be labeled racists across the board. If they are a neutral tool, they need to be treated as such. The idea that it is acceptable in dealing with one group and unacceptable in dealing with another is injustice.

Free Dixie from such injustice.
