Are flags omens?

As a Christian, I do not put much credence in omens. Despite those views, as an observer of history, there are some uncanny events that occur concerning flags. When Texas was taken by the States United a strange event occurred. As the Texas flag was being lowered, the flag pole broke. At the moment when General David Twiggs surrendered the States United military forces and bases to Texas troops, the flag over Carolan’s Auction room fell, the flag floating over Braden’s grocery store in San Antonio appeared minus a star. Are these incidents coincidence? If they are, then what is to be made of several Empire flags falling down as Hillary was leaving the stage in Waterloo, Iowa?

In posing the question, my purpose is to remind Texians of their culture and look at the events of today through the lens of their history and culture. Thinking persons need to consider each of the events in the South through the eyes of history and Scripture.

Free Texas!
