Revival in Dixie and Scotland Needed at Texas League of the South

I came across the website of an organization and effort worthy of support. The site Connecting Scotland is working toward a national spiritual revival for Scotland. I see this as important for several reasons. 1) A spiritual revival benefits everyone 2) It acknowledges a ‘National’ effort at reviving Scotland. A political nation will only be as powerful as it is righteous. In order to be good, it will need a solid spiritual foundation. We need a national spiritual revival for Dixie as well. Our political nation will only come into existence when we unite as a spiritual nation. If people can not unite on spiritual matters, they will not unite on political ones. Scotland needs our prayers! Dixie needs our prayers! We as a people need to return to our God, for it is only with his blessings that we will succeed. It is not a surprise that the "Bible Belt" is essentially the old Confederacy. It is not by chance that many of the great Bible preaching efforts were led by Southerners like Bob Jones and Lottie Moon. We as a people need to return to the prayer altars in our homes and pray. Pray for a return to righteousness, holiness, and courage. We need to confess our sins and depart them. Sons of greed, lasciviousness, stealing, jealousy, selfishness, profaning the sabbath, profaning God, and profaning his word. Many of the churches across the south have become preaching points for an entertainment gospel of prosperity and support for the neo-con patriotism. The South in many ways has left the faith of our fathers. We need to return to it. There was nothing so fearful to meet as Southerners or Scottish Presbyterians on the battlefields after they had been in prayer. Do the Yankees or others tremble anymore when God’s people pray? Do the invading infidels quiver when we pray? In the name of ‘getting along’ some of our pulpits have served as podiums for infidels and acceptance of unholy living that our grandfathers would have condemned without hesitation based solely on the fact that "the Bible speaks against it".

I do not know what you and your houses will do, but as for me and my house, we will seek the Lord and seek revival, both here and in Scotland.
