In a story that I found humorous, the Department of Homeland Security is preparing to movie into a new headquarters. The funny thing is that it is a former lunatic asylum. DHS to HQ in luntaic asylum . Try as I may, a person can not make up such stuff. The bizarre quality of this is like something out of 1984. Sometimes the best teacher of wisdom is just looking at what is actually going on around you.

In other news, where we see an illustration of "Out of the mouth, speaks the heart", the tyrant in chief had the ambassador thank the government of Uruguay for his warm reception. He commented that it felt "like being at home". Given his policy for immigration enforcement, he is right! He also commented that he plans to retire there.Bush says Uruguay feels like home .

Here in Texas, State Senator Rodney Ellis continues his valiant campaign against dead white males by forwarding his efforts to get Texas to apologize for slavery. His courage in conducting a campaign against old issues is likely to gain him some support, but I would rather that he campaign against the Trans-Texas Corridor. My suspicion is that it is more difficult to fight against a live male in the form of Rick Perry than it is to fight against dead ones.
