The White House spokesman Tony Snow admitted that the immigration laws have not been enforced. Snow admits non-enforcement . Anyone who lives in a border state knows that this has been happening for a long time. Illegal immigrants from across the Rio Grande, unwanted Yankees from across the Potomac (like Senators Biden and Dodd), and other unsavory types. Crossing the border is now only a little more troublesome than crossing the state line.
This story reveals troubles in several areas. 1) For this to come out when the two border agents are sent to prison is bad timing on somebody’s part. The timing comes like an insulting slap across the face.
2) The chief enforcement officer is the executive branch of government. Given that the executive branch has this responsibility, somewhere it has failed in that task. This is where things get troublesome. If the lack of enforcement came from lower down personnel, then the tyrant in chief has lost control. Such an event would indicate the political machine is running the office or that the Border Patrol Agency is running renegade. It is not inconceivable for a law enforcement agency to run renegade. Another possibility is that the administration has allowed this to occur either by ignoring the issue, by intentionally allowing enforcement to become slack, or by intentionally underfunding and undermanning the operation so that by default enforcement is inconsistent. In the event that underfunding occurred, then the executive could blame the Congress for not allotting the funds to allow the border patrol to do its job. Another possibility is that the there is too much bureaucracy at the agency. (BTW-Bureaucracy is a product of communism. It is not by chance the they have the Politbureau and that its members are bureaucrats. This is a word that has crept into the English language that shows how people have accepted communists phrases and ideas without even knowing it).
Consider the possibility that if the ineffectiveness of enforcement is intentional, perhaps this is part of the plan to implement the SPP. Consider this story.Border disputes regarding trains It is also a way to dilute the influence of the Southern culture. The lack of enforcement at the border goes back to the bracero program of FDR. As part of his wartime measures, he intentionally opened the borders in order to obtain labour since he sent American men to fight a war he provoked.
3) The admission of lack of enforcement reveals that all the post 9-11 police state actions would be ineffective in actually keeping unwanted persons out. It would also allow those same measures to be effective in removing freedoms and setting up the police state. (To illustrate, consider the government schools. Many people consider them a failure in terms of educating the children, BUT consider what they are successful at… they provide regimentation, indoctrination, and teach the kids to be good little worker bees). Consider the question, "How has the lack of border enforcement been successful?" When you identify what it has succeeded in accomplishing, you are closer to the truth. A paraphrase of what Sherlock Holmes often commented, "When you eliminate what is not true, then whatever is left, no matter how improbable is the truth".
…and the truth shall set you free"
